In education sector BKPC has been continuously providing support in the form of grants and subsidies to numerous local schools along with scholarships to deserving students from under-privileged communities in the Phulpingkatti and Tatopani VDCs of Sindhupalchowk District. BKPC also provides support for various school infrastructures.
In the healthcare sector, BKPC provides support to various local health posts in the locality including for operations and construction of various facilities. BKPC was supporting the entire operating cost of Hindi Health Center for a long time and will continue to provide some support. BKPC provides support in organization of various health camps in the project affected areas.
Besides the above, BKPC also continues to provide support for various basic infrastructure for local development such as construction of roads, bridges and pathways, cultural infrastructure such as temples and gombas and others. Additionally, support is provided for various events of cultural and community significance for organizing cultural events and festivals, various sports tournaments, skills development programs, youth empowerment programs, etc.
Altogether BKPC is contributing to the 14 Village development communities and two municipalities in the “Project Affected Area” i.e. location of the project and along its transmission line.
